My childcare specializes in children from infancy to preschool age. Children under 3 learn by exploring and interacting with their environment. Their emotional needs are nurtured as well as the need for physical space. At Tiny Bear Day Care we provide a safe space for quiet and active play (both inside and outdoors), safe spaces for sleeping, and spaces to interact one-on one. Toys and activities are selected primarily for individual interests and abilities rather than one-size-fits-all group play.
At this age we are teaching children how to drink from a cup, hold a fork, clean up their plate, pick up toys, understand their emotions, part with a pacifier, sharing, learning words etc... there is so much to child development other than knowing their ABC's.
My child is ready
Pre-Preschool & Preschool Ready!
Do you have a Winter or Early Spring baby? If yes, then you are in the same position I once was in. My daughter turned three at the end of January. She was very ready for interaction with other kids, learning, and stimulation! Unfortunately, the age cut off was December so she was not able to be enrolled into pre-school until the following school year! Pre-schools require your children to be fully potty trained with no assistance. Yes, that means they need to be able to properly wipe #1 and #2 all by themselves.
At Tiny Bear Day Care, your children can have fun interaction and instruction with other kids. While in my care, I will do my best with gentle assistance to help them fully through their potty training and preparing them for preschool. I have set up my care to include lots of stimulating and educational activities for our little learners!
As your child gets older we will have continued conversations about their readiness for a preschool program. I do believe it's important for preschool aged children to advanced to preschool to enable them to form friendships and build their emotional maturity with peers their age.
