I am the proprietor and primary caregiver at Tiny Bear Day Care. I understand the difficult task of finding the right person to entrust with the care of your children. Allow me to share a bit about myself to alleviate any concerns you may have. Who am I? Above all else, I am a parent who has always prioritized the well-being of my children, even before their arrival.
Here are some activities I enjoy:
In January 2014, I made the decision to pause my professional career to become a full-time stay-at-home mom. It had always been my aspiration to be present for my children as they grew up. I have a deep affection for children and relish the opportunity to be with my own. The journey of being a stay-at-home parent is both challenging and fulfilling. Now, I have the privilege of extending my assistance to other families. Guiding and supporting parents as they navigate the world of childcare brings me immense joy. I am thrilled to say that my days are now brimming with sidewalk chalk, playdough, painting, bubbles, coloring, slides, and an abundance of toys!
Tiny Bear Day Care is an in-home daycare and is licensed by the State of California! It's important to know your care childcare provider, employees, and members living in the home have been fully background checked, and adhere to state regulated standards for sanitation, safety, and care. The department of social services makes regular visits to the facility to ensure we are maintaining proper licensing requirements.
For the last several years, before and after having my own family, I offered childcare services to other parents in their own home. These services include date nights, play dates, mommy's helper, drop-in care, etc.…
After the birth of my second child, I felt a strong urge to do more. I want to help more than one family at a time. Therefore, I decided to open an in-home childcare to offer a warm, nurturing environment for parents to bring their kids. Too often children are getting lost in the shuffle at large childcare centers. At Tiny Bear Day Care, your child will receive one-on-one attention, love, trust, and the security they need and deserve to thrive in their development and in their relationships with other children.
Caring for children is very involved and hands on work. We have 3 full time helpers in the daycare. We love to focus on individualized care for each child as well as group play.
The saying "It takes a village to raise a child" is so true. Having a powerful village is important to the health and growth of your child. The bigger your village, the more opportunity your child will have to learn. Also, this type of community creates great socialization for your child as well as a strong sense of belonging.
Parenting is tough. Children don't always listen to Mom and Dad. Having others on your side can help as a tool to guide your children overcome an undesired behavior or as encouragement to keep practicing a new skill until they've mastered it!
We are here to be your village. Our goal is to love, nurture, and teach your children while supporting you as parents!
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of my household, I work tirelessly for the Chief Executive Officers (CEO) - my children. This role is all-encompassing and demands my attention round the clock, as any parent can attest. I fulfill a multitude of roles, serving as an in-home daycare provider, housekeeper, chef, event planner, chauffeur, teacher, accountant, nurse, and entertainer, all rolled into one. From changing diapers to soothing boo-boos, from preparing meals to orchestrating bedtime routines, my days are filled with a myriad of tasks, each essential to the well-being and happiness of my little ones. Despite the seemingly mundane nature of these responsibilities, I find immense joy in witnessing my children's growth and development. Their giggles, laughter, cuddles, and milestones are the fuel that keeps me going.
To all the hardworking parents out there juggling work and caregiving duties, I salute you. Your dedication and sacrifices do not go unnoticed, and I stand in solidarity with you, offering my unwavering support and encouragement. Rest assured, your children are in loving hands, receiving the care and attention they deserve, while you strive to provide for them and build a better future. Keep up the excellent work; you're doing an amazing job!
I embarked on a successful dentistry career in 2006, primarily focusing on pediatric dentistry during the initial four years. In this role, I dedicated my efforts to managing teams and conducting employee training sessions. Additionally, I frequently accompanied my team to various educational settings such as daycares, schools, and preschools, where we imparted valuable lessons to children regarding dental hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental check-ups. Following my tenure in pediatric dentistry, I transitioned to a large dental office specializing in general, pediatric, and specialty dentistry. Progressing through the ranks, I eventually assumed the role of operations manager, overseeing the operations of two prominent dental offices. My career in dentistry was immensely gratifying, fueled by my passion for science and the dynamic nature of the profession, ensuring that each day brought new and exciting challenges. However, I made the decision to leave the dental field after having my first child in 2014, prioritizing my family responsibilities while cherishing the memories and experiences gained during my time in dentistry.
In 2017, I embarked on a new journey by establishing my own home childcare business, driven by a desire to assist other parents while maintaining the flexibility to be present for my own children. Initially starting as a small childcare provider, I gradually expanded my services over the years. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, I seized the opportunity for growth and transitioned into a large childcare provider, accommodating up to 12 children and hiring two additional employees. Committed to providing high-quality care, I continuously engage in professional development by attending seminars, training sessions, and relevant classes to remain abreast of the latest advancements in academic and social-emotional behavioral practices within the childcare industry. My dedication to ongoing learning is evidenced by the completion of 24 Continuing Education (CDE) credits, underscoring my commitment to maintaining excellence in childcare provision.
