OPEN DURING COVID-19 Quarantine - Daycare is essential for working parents
I am the owner and primary provider at Tiny Bear Day Care. I know searching for the right person to care for your children can be such an exhausting search. I would love to tell you a little about myself to ease your nerves. Who am I? I am just like you. I am a parent above all other things in life. I have always wanted the best for my children, even before they were born.
Things I enjoy doing:
In January 2014, I put my professional career on hold to be a full time stay at-home mom. I always knew I wanted to be home with my children when I started a family. I absolutely love kids, and I love being home with my children. Being home with your children is challenging and exciting! Now, I get to extend my help to other families. I enjoy guiding and helping parents as they navigate the world of kids! I am excited to say that my life is now filled with sidewalk chalk, playdoh, paint, bubbles, coloring, slides, and toys...lots of toys!
Tiny Bear Day Care is an in-home daycare and is licensed by the State of California! It's important to know your care childcare provider, employees, and members living in the home have been fully background checked, and adhere to state regulated standards for sanitation, safety, and care. The department of social services makes regular visits to the facility to ensure we are maintaining proper licensing requirements.
For the last several years, before and after having my own family, I offered childcare services to other parents in their own home. These services include date nights, play dates, mommy's helper, drop-in care, etc.…
After the birth of my second child, I felt a strong urge to do more. I want to help more than one family at a time. Therefore, I decided to open an in-home childcare to offer a warm, nurturing environment for parents to bring their kids. Too often children are getting lost in the shuffle at large childcare centers. At Tiny Bear Day Care, your child will receive one-on-one attention, love, trust, and the security they need and deserve to thrive in their development and in their relationships with other children.
Caring for children is very involved and hands on work. We have 3 full time helpers in the daycare. We love to focus on individualized care for each child as well as group play.
The saying "It takes a village to raise a child" is so true. Having a powerful village is important to the health and growth of your child. The bigger your village, the more opportunity your child will have to learn. Also, this type of community creates great socialization for your child as well as a strong sense of belonging.
Parenting is tough. Children don't always listen to Mom and Dad. Having others on your side can help as a tool to guide your children overcome an undesired behavior or as encouragement to keep practicing a new skill until they've mastered it!
We are here to be your village. Our goal is to love, nurture, and teach your children while supporting you as parents!
Well, I am the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of my household and I work for the Chief Executive Officers (CEO), my children! Anything they need I am handling for them. Anyone who has children knows that this is never ending and it’s 24/7!
I am an in-home daycare, housekeeper, chef, event planner, chauffeur, teacher, accountant, nurse, entertainer, all bundled up in one body. The reality is I change diapers, feed kids constantly, clean up their messes, help them make messes, fix boo boos, cuddle, and help them fall asleep, while I’m seriously lacking some myself. However mundane those tasks sound, I love them. Every day I get to see my babies do something new and have fun! The giggles, laughs, cuddles, climbing, jumping, dancing, singing, new words, new tricks, new noises, new crafts…these keep me alive. For all of you hardworking parents that get up, go to work, and do these things at the end of the day. I support you! You are doing great! I want you to know your children are in loving hands while you are out there doing your best to give them everything they need.
I had a successful career in dentistry that started in 2006. The first 4 years of my career were in pediatric dentistry. My time in pediatrics was spent managing and training employees. I often traveled with my team to various day cares, schools, and preschools to teach children about the importance of seeing the dentist and brushing their teeth. After my time in pediatrics, I spent the next few years in a large dental office that focused on general, pediatric, and specialty dentistry. I worked my way up to operations manager, overseeing two large dental offices. I absolutely loved my career in dentistry. I love science and there was never a boring day at the office!
